IOR Radio USB track information stuck on first track

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I have a 2022 Silverado 2500 Custom with the IOR radio.

Frequently when playing music from USB, the display stays stuck showing info about the first song that plays.  In other words, I skip forward the track, the new track starts playing, just like it should, but the display still shows artist and title for the 1st song.  Switching to bluetooth, or FM, and back to USB doesn't help.  Powering the radio off/on does help.

Wondering if anyone else has the same problem, and if someone knows of a fix.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Not sure how relevant this is , but my 2021 SLT did that on two occasions a few months ago when playing music via Bluetooth from my paired iphone. Each time on the next engine start the display went back to behaving normally.

Are you playing through your phone.? I use navigation through my phone and Google maps freezes constantly with my current phone, the MotoG. Never had this problem previously with  a moto Z, but Motorola phone was bought out  and have been downgraded.

I'm replying as mine is doing the same. 2022 Chevy 2500HD WT with IOR radio. It does it when playing USB tracks. I'm finding it primarily happens after a shorter time between starts. Like after sitting overnight, the tracks will display correctly. But any shorter time between restarts the track display "freezes" on the first song while continuing to play on. I can go into the browse and select a track and it goes back to normal.

As a side question, exactly how bad is it to add (time and effort wise) the bed lights and remote start? I've already purchased them both and installed the lights, but my local dealer is acting like it is a huge process. I was under the assumption they plugged in the truck, called GM and unlocked the BCM, then added the code plugs for the accessories. Is it really any more involved than that?

Nope, just keeps doing the same old thing. Only time there is a change is with how long of a time between vehicle running.

And on another note, the bumbling mechanic got both of my GM accessories turned on in under an hour. Still acted like I was asking him to clean my truck with a toothbrush. Dude, you plugged in a computer and made a phone call to GM. Man I hate dealerships.

Hi Cyclic, glad to see I'm not imagining the behavior.  :) Haven't quite figured out the steps to make the problem occur each time, but I think you're on to something with what you described.
