Is the signal from throttle body analog or digital?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into upgrading my throttle body. I haven't found much info on what I'm asking, hopefully I can find something here. I know that the signal is 32 bit digital for the ECU but what I need to know specifically is if the signal from the throttle body is analog or digital? Is it a standard 5V TPS signal sent to a PCM to be digitized for the ECU or is it digitized at the TPS?

Can't change it without tuning.

You don't really have much you can do either if you already have a 6.2, it has the biggest truck throttle body there is for the stock truck manifold.

Get a tune or a pedal commander thingy if you want a more responsive truck.
