2023 Silverado HD Order

Today my salesman called me and officially told me that my truck will be a 2023. (no surprise)

 

Also, told me my order was exact as the 2022, except no power folding mirrors. All trim levels, GMC trucks also.

 

Has anyone else heard this? Part supply issue?

 I couldn't get them on my GMC. That was April when I ordered mine. All dealer said was they just weren't available.

Did he tell you the new price?  From the info I get from my dealership, GM is still struggling with chips.  To add insult to injury they are struggling to get parts also.  They indicated to me its worse now than when I ordered in January.  They are struggling to get 1500's now, which was not as big of a problem for them before.

The 22 I have on order, was just produced the built sheet shows folding pwr folding mirrors.  Mine is an At4.  so hard to say.  

 

23s are probably going to cost 3-4k more for the same truck.

It depends on the current constraints. Sounds like the mirrors are on constraint right now. If you need them, ask the dealer to leave them on and you'll wait until the order is picked up. I wish I had done that beck when I ordered my LT last year. I wanted the Conv. PKG II and they said it wasn't available and found out they offered them again a month later... For some reason they like to get the orders picked up right away. Has something to do with their allocations as well.

Yeah, that conv pkg would've been a deal breaker for me. It's one of the biggest reasons for even ordering as it has things not available on my 16' 

 I'm coming up on a year wait - I too was told mine will be a 23' about a month ago.

AT4, SLT, LTZ, Denali, High Country have power folding mirrors as standard equipment. The LT, SLE, WT, Custom had power folding mirrors as an option. GM is withholding the power folding mirrors on those lower trim trucks where they were previously an option to keep the chips/parts for the higher trim trucks that have them as standard equipment.
