Keyless entry from Drivers Door

Recommended Posts

Reading the manual, and not sure if I am interpreting it correctly.

States to unlock, using the driver's side door button, single push will unlock only driver's door, second push will unlock other doors and tailgate. Does that mean that double pressing that button, unlocks the tailgate, and is this the same as pressing the button on the tailgate? If so, how do I disable this feature so I don't open the tailgate every time I unlock the doors? The manual is not specific on this, that I can see.

Correct. The button only "unlocks", not "open" the tailgate. If you lock your truck, you can not open tailgate with the tailgate buttons.

If you have the key fob close by you can open the tailgate on the locked truck, right?

That's how my 2020 works.  I also thought a single push of the button would unlock the tailgate.  But maybe it's because I'm also carrying the key fob.  I'll have to experiment with this.
