What year did Chevy put driver side mirrors on there trucks?

I have a 1969 Chevy C10, it has no mirrors on either side and has no visible holes on the outside or inside of either door. Is it legal to drive without them at this year? Why would my truck not come with mirrors if it isn't legal to not have them in 69?
