Forward collision and lane keep assist still a problem on 2022 refresh?

Luckily, I've not had any issues since I addressed the fuse situation. Now that I've said it...  LOL

Yeah, the thing is, I had a good 4 weeks and even now, it was still working. This just seems like a new issue lol

I took it in at about 1250 miles and now have about 3600 with no issues. We've bounced around temps and humid weather due to Monsoon season, and still no issues. Today, it was 3 digit temps with the thermometer reading 125 sitting in the sun. It wasn't that hot, but it was in direct sun all day. Still no issues, so I'm waiting to see what the cooler temps bring, which will make the metal contract and cause the gaps in the fuse block to open up. If I get the same issue with a major temp drop, then I'll know that the issue lies within the block. I'm almost certain it's that anyways, which would explain the intermittent issues. We'll see... it could also be a connector close to the block that is bad as well. Time will only tell!

Has anyone had a fix performed by their dealer that has continued to work?  My lane keep assist and forward collision warning are both not working at about 3,900 miles.  The forward collision alert warning light came on Tuesday night while driving home from work.  It was not illuminated on the way to work.  Same with the lane keep assist.  That seems, to me, to be a software issue or chip issue rather than the window camera malfunction.

I still don't have the parking assistant chip installed.  My bluetooth is buggy too.  It drops out a lot.   It's very disheartening.

If you look back in the thread, it's typically the fuse that's not making consistent contact within the fuse block. If you take the spades on the fuse and do a slight twist, it should make significant contact. Sometimes, the code won't clear. In this case, you'll want to disconnect the battery cables for 10 minutes to allow the energy to discharge. Since reseating the fuse, I've not had one issue since. It's not a software issue and in most cases, not a equipment issue. This more of a fuse block that's toleraces are slightly off. Hope this helps!

So the system is not giving any fault codes or warnings but I noticed that the lane keep assist is not working.

it’s seeing the car in front of me but not engaging the LKA even though the lane markings are perfectly visible and I know that it works on this road (it actually works all the time when I’m over 30mph, it’s pretty good at detecting lane markings)
it didn’t work all day today so I just tried the reset again, and it works fine now… idk what’s going on with this system but it’s weird, always something new.

What reset are you doing? Just disconnecting  attery cables for awhile?

Following up here on my issue. I originally just pulled the fuse to check if it was blown and left it out for ~an hour, didn't bend the prongs, and the issue remained. Last week someone mentioned resetting the system, and I planned to do that this past weekend. We had been out of town for a week and I only drove the truck a couple times the prior week, so it sat for around 12 days. Came home Saturday night and was going to pull out of the garage and the truck was dead. No lights, no clicks, no nothing. I used jumper cables and a trickle charger, but neither helped. My dad brought over a jumper pack and was able to get it started - PLUS, the fwd collision alert was gone now.

I let it run for like 30 min, which seems to have been enough to give it some juice back and have now been able to start/drive it normally. The light has stayed off all week and I've been able to use auto dim brights and lane keep assist like normal.

I also emailed GM Customer Service who posts their offer to help, which resulted in them saying to take it to my dealer - so yeah. Just thought it was worth a try lol.

Mr Kaylan  Steen, I just wanted to thank you for finding the solution to my 2022 silverado forward collision issue.  After taking my truck in three times within 2 months for the forward collision warning system malfunction, the dealer supposedly ordered the front sensor, which I think it’s the actual camera. This was about two months ago, and I’m still waiting  for them to call me when it arrives.  Anyway, the minute I got the truck back from my third dealership visit, I pulled the fuse and bent all three metal probes of the fuse in different angles, waited 10 minutes and put it back in.  That was two months ago, and about 2000 miles ago, and until today, the collision warning system, lane keep assist, and the auto start stop have all been working perfectly.
it’s very funny and sad how the GM customer service is in this tread offering sympathy for people having trouble with the system, when I took my time and called the GM customer service line and talked to two people, told them about my experience, and how the issue was solved so easily and for free, and that I was trying to save GM money, and that if any engineer wants to call me to ask me about my experience, no one has called as of today. They keep on spending bunch of money with these crook dealers like the one I went to, diagnosing the trucks for days, and ordering parts that don’t need to be replaced. Yes, kaylan Steen, you do deserve all the credit, GM should thank you, instead of offering fake sympathies to people that have issues.

I'm happy that it worked for you. I'm at over 4000 miles and haven't had an issue since. GM isn't going to take responsibility for this issue until an engineer determines what the issue is and finds a "fix" for this. What will probably happen, when they're good and ready, is a massive recall on the fuse block, or they will just wait until they push the massive micro chip recall for the heated seats and fix the fuse block. It wouldn't be hard to pull the battery cables and adjust The contacts on the block for that fuse. Until then, they are wasting money and time over something so simple. To be honest, it's the dealers who are doing this. They are always doing unnecessary repairs. They need to stop paying commission to these mechanics and service professionals. Pay them a living wage, so they aren't inclined to do unnecessary work that inconveniences the customers! So, I would lay blame mostly on these dealership! It's all about the money and nothing about the customer.

Sure am glad I found this thread.  After a software update I received today to my truck, my forward collision warning light came on when I was about 5 miles into my commute to work.  I instantly searched online and found this and pulling the F11 fuse (and twisting the connections a bit) and putting back in has cleared the warning light - at least for now.

I had mine fixed by the Dealer since June and have not had a problem since then, Yes its the Fuse and not the camera like the other dealer had told me. I believe its fuse #11 if am not mistaken. They replaced it and has been working since then.

Thanks for validating the issue. I've not had a problem with mine since I figured it all out a couple days after the misinformation from the dealership. All they want is the money they receive for warranty work. It's a lucrative business.

UPDATE:

Camera module arrived. Dropped the truck off at the dealership.

Got a call 6 hours later saying they have bad news, same issue, even after replacing and programming the module. They told me to drop it off again on Monday so they can reach out to GM-engineering, maybe they can solve it with over the air diag...

I will keep you guys posted.

I dropped my RST Refresh off at the dealer for today 10/24/2022 service appointment with a GM engineer that came in to try and fix my same issues like everyone else. Doubtful they will get it fixed being this has been going on since 2020. This is their final strike other wise Lemon Law it is for me. I am not paying 64k for this.
