You need to take this to the dealer and show them this.  No real improvement.  For the short term oil change you iron and copper are way to high. Some serious issues need to be addressed.  Considering you didn't use Synthetic Advantage UOA service this doesn't show everything.

Still their baby (as far as warranty) until August of 2027 or 75k miles, whichever comes first. Figure by that time if it’s extended break-in material, it will drop. Or if it’s something more serious, it’ll let go. Iron and copper do run considerably higher in the Hemis so it’s best to not view them through the GM lens. Mine is still higher than average but not unprecedented for the platform.

HPL's TBN retention is quite remarkable.  Not sure how they do that.

I'm running their 5w30 Premium Plus 5w30 currently.

Yeah, it performed well. The viscosity drop was sort of surprising though. 14.68 to 12.7 in under 3k. The Red Line before it never fell nearly as far.

Nevertheless. In the big picture, a near 75% reduction in iron over the course of this past year is great. Better lubricants, better filtration and the natural break-in curve all assisting.

If you are going to use oil analysis use a good quality lab source.  Since retiring I no longer offer any oil analysis service.

Here's a very good quality lab that rivals most R&D labs and has different turn times to lower your cost.

What did you do to drive the fuel lower?

I thought I replied to this earlier.  I didn't do anything different other than this time when I took the oil sample, we just got back from an hour drive on the interstate and it was using the engine the entire time.  The last sample I drove it around the neighborhood to get the oil warmed up and it was just used around town. So that could be the issue. When driving on electric, the engine will start up, run up to 2k rpms for about 30 seconds and then shut off.  It will do that occasionally and if you need extra power to get out into traffic or pass the engine will kick in and shut off when demand goes down.

New pump and injector service did nothing to improve the situation. No misfire. :dunno:

Grumpy, I know you know how to take an oil sample, my question is how long to you drive before you take a sample.  I noticed that if I try to just drive around town to warm up my FD is higher.  I get my best results if I come off an hour drive down the interstate. I pull into the driveway and pull a sample within 10 minutes  of shut down.  So that is my route now to keep things the same.

I try to do at least 50 miles. I can make that longer and run the Interstate, I guess. And yes, as fast as I can get the hood up after shutdown. :dunno:

263K. She's tired and wants to take a dirt nap. :(
