Question for anyone that has ordered a truck lately

Most likely how it is going to be everywhere

That is kinda what I was thinking....I am pretty patient, but I do wish they would accept the order.

I would have thought a regular cab, without the ventilated and heated seats (and all the items that are always constrained) would be faster....I think I was wrong.

Congratulations, I hope it was worth the wait!

Absolutely.  When I ordered it I had no idea there was a planned 2022 refresh.  I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the truck.  Went from an 19 RST to a 22 LT TB. So far I love this truck.  I verbally told a sales rep what I wanted vs filling out paperwork in Jan.  I was doubtful it would happen with all the supply chain issues. I hope yours comes in soon!

That was a good kinda surprise!

You got a nice truck, the LT TB was one of the first refreshes I saw!

I sure hope so too, I have ordered 10 cars and trucks over the years and never seen anything like this before.

Okay everyone, I ordered April 1st and here I sit at 1100 still.....order not accepted by GM.

Running out of time on the 22 model, do y'all think I should try another dealer.....maybe a bigger dealer would have better allocation to get a regular cab.....or is this how it's going to be everywhere?

Where are you located?

I contacted Chevy through chat last week on Friday and was told that it has not been built yet.  On Monday, they said that it has already been built but they are unsure when it will ship out.  Today, I went to the dealership to inquire about where it was built and it has already crossed the border into Texas.  They are assuming that it will be delivered in the next few days.

I originally ordered the glacier blue, but I changed my mind after seeing one in person.  The Glacier Blue I ordered had already been accepted by gm within a week, so I could not change it.  They just placed another order for Dark Ash.  The blue was already delivered to the dealership a week ago and has already been sold.

If you're anywhere near houston, I can put you in touch with the sales guy I was dealing with and you could try to see what they can do for you.

That is some good service!  If GM wants us to order all our cars and trucks they need to get it to this level everywhere!

I appreciate the offer, but I guess I better try and stick with my local dealer if I can....I'd hate to have a problem and them not want to fix it because I bought it at another dealer.....My Dad had thad happen to him a few years ago, pretty sorry.

If this continues on past June 1st I will send you a message though, I am going to start looking at driving to get one then.....I figure 2 months is plenty of time to get the order accepted.

I just went to the dealership today and was very disappointed.  The truck is in Houston but is sitting in a lot waiting to be sent to the dealership.

While there, I had them print out a copy of the window sticker for me.  I was expecting to get a truck without DFM, but mine has it.  I contacted chevrolet customer service before ordering the truck and was assured that the truck would come without it.

The truck is also missing ventilated seats, parking assist and the electronic steering lock.  From what I see, the steering lock will not be retrofitted at a later date.  There is no estimated date when the other features will be available.

Damn GM.

Man that is a shame, wait that long and be disappointed.

I was reading about the steering wheel lock a few weeks ago, that seems like an odd thing to leave off.

I think there was even some ventilated seats that couldn't be retrofitted (don't hold me to that) but I think some were shipping without the blower motors....more than just the chips.

I saw the info about the blower motor.  The sticker says "not equipped w/ front seat cushion ventilation" (includes later retrofit (-50.00).  Too bad they could not take the DFM chip and add the ventilation chip (or whatever is missing).

Yeah really!

I am glad they can do the retrofit on it though, maybe it won't be too long.

So the dealership is saying that the retrofit may happen at the end of the year.

The truck should arrive at the dealership on Friday.

I hope it looks good and you're happy with it besides the shortage stuff.
