Sorry for the late reply but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Same truck as mine except I am a 21 2500 HD duramax. The dc to dc charger is a great way to go... I think while driving it is a simple opportunity to capture energy and and top things off... I'm quite happy with my set up... hope this helps!
