2014 Chevy Silverado Service 4wd

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 2014 Silverado 1500 LT 4wd with 113000 miles. The 4wd service light is on and I have tried pulling the #6 fuse and putting the selector into different positions then reinstalling the fuse with the key turned on as I read on another post that this worked for someone else. I was able to get it to work for a day then it went back to the 4wd service light. I have a new shift motor that I want to put in but it seems like the old one is under some tension while in the transfer case. Does anyone know if I can remove this motor while it has tension on it and any other suggestions on a fix. I have a service appt. in 6 days but would love to fix it myself.
