I have a couple of questions about my truck.

Recommended Posts

Is it normal to hear a slight squeal around 1100 or so rpm's on light loads? Might be 2100 or so rpm's, on the 6.2 engine.

What fluids should i change on my first oil change for the "break in process"?  Transmission, transfer case, diffs, oil, filters?  Is the transmission unnecessary since it doesnt develop metal particles like an engine and diff's will?

What are the better air filters and oil filters to be getting for the 6.2 engine? I want good quality stuff for my truck, nothing "economy" or "cheap".

Thank you.

The squeal isn't normal. Take it in to the dealer. You should have 1 free service with the dealer. Regarding future service: check the maintenance schedule in your owners manual for details about what should be done and when.

Thanks. The squeal only happens at one spot in the rpm and its a faint noise. I only barely heard it one day while cruising at a steady rpm.

Is it normal for the 10l80 transmission to have a slight delay from 1st to 2nd gear? Could be the trans is breaking in still. Only got a little under 180 miles on the truck.
