Tow mirrors

Recommended Posts

I just picked up my 2022 2500 HD LT with the tow mirrors I did not realize they did not come with the puddle/cargo lamps in the mirror like my 2018 did and they to me are very helpful so I asked the dealer if I could replace the mirrors they told me $1000 a mirror that is ridiculous is this real or they just don’t want to be bothered?has anybody done the swap thanks in advance for all your help guys

really?  An LT trim that doesn't have puddle lamps in the tow mirrors?  That is surprising dang.  My 22' Custom has puddle lamps and front/rear work lights.  I thought the Custom was a step down in trim level from the LT.    As new as these trucks are, and with national parts shortages I would not be surprised a bit if replacement mirrors cost that much new.  Also have to consider you'd need the button in cab to turn the work lights on them on/off once installed, and I'm sure BCM flashed to recognize the button function.  Hopefully someone else will chime in with some actual useful info for you.

For that price I'd look into an aftermarket/ universal light set up and wire it in your self. Maybe use the dome light wiring so when you open the door they automatically come on. Bet you could do it for a couple hundred bucks and some time in the garage.

Interesting,  is that a 2022 issue due to the part shortage thing.  My 2021 came with Cargo lights( no extra charge),  the puddle lights I added after, $100 , plug in play.

Are your mirrors powered?
