Suspension Lift

Recommended Posts

New to this great GM site...have a 2001 Sierra 6.0 L, 8 cyl SLT Crew cab 4x4, short bed with towing. Looking to get it leveled out with 4" lift sometime in 2004. Was reading the post in 4x4 suspensions and found some ideas. Any of you guys have this type truck??? Or have recommendation for BEST looking equipment, shocks, rims, tires and of course the lifting hardware. I expect some change in ride and handling, but like the lift, no extremes. Information will be appreciated. Thanks

If I was you i would go with the RCD 6" lift instead of the 4" leveling kit that you said. The RCD lift is like the best 6" lift out there I think. You also get the Bilsteins that I forget what they have done to them but they are shinny. It basically depends on how much you are willing to pay, but i would definitely go with the 6" instead of the 4". You can also finish it up with either 33" or 35" BFG Mud Terrains. :uhoh:

You really cant go wrong picking any of the Major NBS lifts.. Rancho, RCD, Superlift, Fabtech, Procomp to name some.

I personally like the Idea of a FULL 6" kit (not a spindle lift).. Stoping at a 4" kit will looks small in a short period of time, and you will want to go bigger.
