Low rear speaker audio

Hi all, I have a 21 AT4 with the Bose sound package. Sound system was always favoring the front so I adjusted the fader. Come to find out that if I set the fader all the way to the rear the sound is extremely low. Any ideas?

Common. I have a '19 RST with Bose and the rear audio is low.

As with anything else, GM and dealership will say "it's normal".

Not my service dept. I read thousands of posts here and every time someone has a problem with whatever, the dealer is quick to say "that's normal". Apparently you misread me. Again, if someone brings a truck in for anything that shouldn't be, they'll say it's normal. Just like the shaking Silverado's. Normal??? Yea right. When they say something is normal, just tell them, ok if it's normal, lets go try 10 trucks on the lot and if all 10 do it then it's normal. As for this issue, every '19 up Bose that I've been in has low rear audio. There's nothing any service dept. can do to fix it. It's in the design. Read the many posts and topics on this issue. It is what it is.

1) I didn't "misread" you, and my statement is very applicable to everybody who has issues with their dealer.

2) I have a 2020 with the Bose system. I haven't recognized this problem. When I crank the volume up, it's loud. When I turn the volume is quiet. It does what I want. Notice I didn't comment on the specific problem. I'm not experiencing it. Just recommended a possible solution that you chose to take exception to.

Then why do I need to find a new dealer? I never brought it in. I have a Bose and it's loud and sounds good but, the rear audio is low. It's the same with all Bose 2019 up Silverado/Sierra. Sure, sitting in tbe front seat it's loud but turn it up loud and go listen to the rear door speakers. In fact, turn up the volume, then turn your fader to rear only. You'll see what we're talking about. Don't assume rear audio is not low just because "it's loud" with you sitting in the front seat.

Thank you for starting off your last post by doing exactly what I pointed out at the end of my last post. You took exception about it. This may be news to you, and maybe this is the first time you've heard it, but not everything is about you. Now, here's the real question to all this: Why is somebody so concerned about the rear speakers when the system as a whole works as designed? Are they occupying the backseat by placing their head between their knees and their butt in the air so their ear is as close to the rear door speaker as possible? That would be a very uncomfortable ride, especially with the shoulder strap of the seatbelt cutting off blood flow to the brain.

Btw, my truck is also my family hauler. I have kids in the backseat almost every time I drive. None of them are complaining about lack of music back there.

And thank you for reiterating my point. The system is designed this way but it doesn't mean the rear audio isn't much lower than the front. OP question. Sure, passengers can hear it just fine but there's enough speakers in the cab that it can be heard. The OP asked about the "rear audio" being low. I said all Bose rear audio speakers are low in the T1. Then you say I need a new dealer? Because my designed rears are low? Really? No one had ever complained in the rear seats of mine either but the rear speakers are substantially lower than the fronts. Why? I'm not sure and I surmise it's designed this way as I stated for acoustics IDK. Bad design? IDK but it Doesn't mean we need new dealers because it's designed this way. This question was raised when the T1 was introduced. Congrats for having the "only" Silverado in the country with loud rear Bose speakers .

What I mean about not loud is that it's grossly low volume.

Fade all the way to the front speakers and turn the volume to 2. That is the loudest the backs get with the volume cranked and fully faded to the back speakers.

That's what I told him to do. Fade from front to rear with volume up and see the difference regardless if back passengers can hear the total sound system. My rear is much lower and no dealer can remedy that. It's the nature of the beast on the T1 Bose.

What bothers me is I can't get any spatial surround sound. It just feels like only the front speakers are playing which is ridiculous.

Running circles lol? You're doing a good job yourself. And dude, it's not about running circles it's about you not knowing what you're talking about. Period. If you start something and can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Furthermore, do your research before you tell someone to get another dealer especially when you have no idea what you're talking about.
