Iv used lane keep on trips on the interstate. On the CRV it tightens the steering and you can guide it towards one stripe. It does lessen fatigue. I don’t believe I could do supper cruise. When I’m going intestate speeds I have to be fully attentive. No one drives me either. Unless adaptive cruise has gotten better. I only use it on two lanes with no turn lanes.

Personally, I think the tech is pretty cool. But this is just the next incremental step to fully autonomous driving imo.

I'd like to know who's name is on file for the vehicle insurance liability? If it's your name and your name only and you'd be comfortable having a nap behind the wheel while people who are not listed on the insurance are in control then I'm completely amazed by the lack of foresight able to have this comfort. This is 2.5 tons of high speed death through public spaces...seems we forget what that means also.

Humanity is in trouble if they can't see some very obvious truths like this.

If the programmers of the autonomous stuff are also listed on the insurance and or anyone connected to the vehicle live (ie; onstar), are part of, or can control parts of, the vehicle...if they are also listed on the insurance then by all means.

Hopefully they also paid their share of the vehicle, and their share of the annual registration too while we're being as accurate as possible in this whole thing because it's not truly your vehicle now is it?

Your insurance and registration thinks it's your vehicle and you agreed to this but when a whole bunch of other people are controlling it and or can jump in at any point....then it's not really yours, why'd you buy it?

I'm with the guy who'd trade a lot for a manual transmission and regular tailgate, I'll use cruise control but I've turned off the adaptive stuff and the collision avoidance stuff, and disconnected onstar....they can't be allowed to do a single thing to my vehicle while it's going down the road in my care and control as I'm the only one listed on the insurance and sole responsible for anything that happens.

autonomous vehicles will be owned by companies, insured by companies, you'll pay a monthly or whatever, call for it like uber...it can't be any other way because if it's your vehicle you are the sole person listed on the insurance for all liability and responsibility, you need to have no one, no one else's computers or guidance systems, connected to your vehicle...unless they are listed and paid for their share of the vehicle, hope people start thinking this through a little more, one of the scariest things I read on forums is all the comfort addicted folks that seem to hate driving and want to nap on the way to work in their Tesla's and virtue signal it's the best thing since sliced bread, and they don't even realize it's not their car yet they paid for it, anyone can take full control over that thing at any point yet none of them are on the insurance slip, for those of you hate driving, don't want all that liability etc...stick to uber, buses, trains and planes please

the Tesla thing is brilliant, they own all the cars and have convinced people to pay for them and give them a bit of manual control for the time being...last thing in the world you will catch me inside and I'd bout lose my mind if someone hit that auto-pilot button if magically they could convince me to get in one...absolute insanity, but much of the world is this way these days isn't it 😉

seriously, time for a reality check folks, please get to 40,000' feet and have a good hard look at these basic principles of piloting 2.5 tons of rapid death through public spaces with your name as the only one responsible for when things go wrong

Next they’ll have thermostats that can be controlled outside the house. So when there’s a heat wave you lose control of your homes temperature. Wait, too late.

A car that can drive you where you want to go can also drive you where you don't want to go, if you know what I mean.

My statement reflects my belief that masses will gulp down the autonomous driving tech in the name of convenience.

The same applies to digital currency. All in the name of convenience.

Democracy (yes I know the US is a Constitutional Republic) is the misguided belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.

We're on the same page Brother, 95% of us will get there, it's a big ole ship to turn around and it's take time to undo what has been cast over society for all our lifetimes and many generations before that. It only goes one direction, has only gone one direction, once the veil of deception and programming has been lifted...no one can take the blue pill and plug back into the tv.

Not sure how many gold medals would be hanging around our necks if conspiracy theories coming true became an olympic sport but we'd have a hard time walking around due to the weight of them all. 😉
