Seems like a total waste of money to me. You lose what..... $500... $1,000 every month just in depreciation alone?

A new truck that 2 million other people already own. And no one will be impressed. No heads will turn.

If I was ever going tyo drop $50K in cash on a rig, it would not be a brand new... Chevy truck? Haha. No way.

How about buy two or three of these instead, for less money:

The Ford is a total joke of a truck. The Chevy is nice looking if you removed the hideous lift and terrible tires!!  I’d take the corvette for sure, not a dodge fan at all but Vipers are cool. For $58k, they have new ones for that. If I was in market (thank god I’m not). I’d wait. It’s total chaos out there right now

my brother in law was in need of a small car for his son, I found 2010 Chevy Cruze with 58k miles and they want $9500 for it!!  2 years ago you could have bought it for half the price.   Patients is the key to virtue!!!  I’d wait!

It’s funny when people say one brand is so much better than others. I know two people who bought raptors last year. A couple with new Rams. They all say there're  the best. I’ve own those brands. Honestly the last few were GMs solely on the deals were better at the time. I prefer GMs when it comes down to it. That doesn’t mean there’re the best.

I don’t think GM are the best “per say anymore”. But when growing up, the C/K 1500s where the BEST trucks out there! Period!
I do prefer GMs new trucks, but I would own a new Ram. They are nice. I have never been a Ford guy, and never will be. Too many on my wife’s side and Im not impressed with them. They are die hard fanboys and have excuses for every reason why they are broken down.
I would also consider a new Nissan Titan, and if Toyota would have kept their V8 I definitely would have considered them.

now performance car. I’d take a Camaro, Corvette, challenger, Supra, or a new stinger. I like those 4 door cars.

Iv owned lots of trucks. As a high mileage driver I often would trade every two years. I shopped deals and usually bought year end deals. I rarely had problems with any brand that mattered. My favorite are between 01-06 GMs trucks. I never had a full size Toyota. Expensive unless for long ownership. As for cars our next purchase will probably be a stinger or Genesis. The choice will be my wife’s. We’ve never had a car better than our 11 Genesis. That’s covering lots of cars.

I think any vehicle or truck from the 90's or early 2000's is going to be "better" in my opinion. Vehicles these days have been beat nearly to death with the good idea fairy wand. I miss my '95 yota and my '95 F150 longbed with a F250 V8 swap. No screens or touch buttons, not loaded with airbags, metal body panels, limited VVT, cheap parts, mechanically reliable, low taxes. Yea the MPG might have been a few lower, but the radios always worked, heat was hot, the AC was cold, and they got where you wanted to go. The current trend of turning everything into an iphone with wheels is such a huge turn off for me. It's a vehicle, I don't need to pay nearly twice the base model price and then more taxes over time for tech packages.

So OP probably knows what I'm gonna say. Let it go. All them bells and whistles ain't worth it once the new wears off and the old shines through, because you're most likely gonna be out of pocket or in debt for a headache. I think it's the most preposterous thing in the world to pay that much for a limo truck unless you're a full time plow driver, and even then I would still dial it back at these price points. The aftermarket performance options also dwarf OEM pretty much across the board. If you definably need a truck you're gonna be dirty in it, you're gonna give it hell now and then, it's gonna break, and at that price with all those creature comforts the thing is gonna end up owning you. Counting on GM to the tune of any amount these days is a gamble.

Spend the money you would save on trim for tailoring the vehicle to your specific needs. You will be happier to have a fully capable tool compared to a fashion statement you overpaid on when the screen freezes, the speakers suck, or you get it dirty. All that for a cute emblem or modern exterior design language and some tech? Put your money into capability not appeal.
