diyer2
This started last winter and has gotten worse. We are on a keep full program provided by Ferrell gas that contracts with our rural subdivision if you choose to sign up. Previously we got tank fills when the tank was at 30-40% full. Last winter they were waiting until it got below 20% full. We are currently at 10% and after 4 phone calls still waiting. We were scheduled for a fill yesterday the 3rd of Dec. I called and confirmed the delivery at 2pm. They never showed up. I spoke to a different person each time I called, the norm now. One person told me after I pushed the issue they have a personal shortage. Another confirmed the normal fill time of 30-40% full. This is affecting anyone in our subdivision who signed up. I have know idea how many that is but it's quite a few I believe due to the best price. Letting the tank get so low also makes a bigger bill. One good thing is our temperatures have been above normal reducing our propane use. We have had the same delivery driver for 5 years and hope he's OK. pokismoki
you should install a second back up tank...these companies are not reliable anymore. everything is turning to ******. a second tank is cheaper than buying a second house in a warmer climate.
NorthskyblueT1
Or consider swapping to a larger tank, if you can. With a 1,000 gallon tank we only have to fill up once per year, we're in a mild northwest climate. At another property we only had a 500 gallon tank and propane service was kinda iffy sometimes. Having a 1k tank really reduces "tank anxiety"? Or, switch companies. Your driver is just a guy with a CDL and some company training. My guess is if someone paid him a buck more an hour he might have switched jobs.
