Inner tail gate won't open

2021 Sierra Denali 3500

The inner (upper half) tail gate doesn't release. The main does. I don't see any electrical designation for the tail gate in the owners manual. Is there a fuse controlling this? Any help would be appreciated.

The button/handle assembly will likely need to be replaced. I had mine repaired a couple months back because my main wouldn't open and the inner did.

Thanks for the info. Not starting out good. Just bought the truck with 7500 miles on it.
