I am seriously considering ordering a 22.5' refresh and trading in my 19' RST. Can you negotiate any off of the MSRP or are you stuck paying that and hoping the current offers are decent when you take delivery?

I've been doing that.. all have said MSRP with one quoting $2,500 above.

Thanks for your response.  Very helpful.  I search on the chevy/gmc sites every couple of days but it seems my specs aren't very popular. I ordered (or tried to) a HC with a 6.2 and standard box.  Seem to be very few.  What's strange is the dealers are starting to receive the 22 LTDs like I ordered but only the 21 inventory is on-line.  21 or 22 LTD is fine with me, but now I need to go to individual dealer sites to see what they have.

Again, thanks for the info. Very helpful.

I stumbled into the '22 LTD inventory page a bit ago. You're right that you can't find these through the normal inventory links on chevy.com

Thank you!  I would have never found that.  Looks like a few possibilities for me.  I appreciate it.

I guess if you can get more than what you paid for your old truck MSRP is a little easier to swallow. No way in hell am I paying over that, these dealers are crazy.

It depends what you want and if GM allows that configuration. I was told to go through the build and price tool on Chevy's website and that's what they ordered from. I wanted the Safety Confidence package that I had seen on other built trucks but it wasn't an option on the configuration tool. The dealer was able to find it and add it to my order.

The other issue is are you wanting a 22 Limited or a 22 refresh? I'm not sure how long the 22 Limiteds are going to be produced since the refreshed trucks are supposed to start production in the spring of 22.

as I've been shopping around at dealers within a 50 mile radius of me it seems everyone is still willing to pay MSRP or more, and the dealerships are not going below MSRP because of that. Even for new custom builds.  At this point, the dealers are raking it in and we are burning ourselves because people apparently dont mind paying MSRP or worse this late in the game (remember when the norm was never to pay Invoice....and GM would routinely do 20% off MSRP sales). gone are those days, and based on peoples purchasing trends, we'll continue paying more for less.
