Do not buy Ziebart or Paint protection or anything like that. Ceramic is the only way to go!

I am in a rust belt state (Mich) so spending big bucks or energy applying ceramic coating is not cost effective as it would  probably need be redone every spring so Ziebart is my preferred treatment because after the initial application I can get my vehicle detailed and the gloss reapplied every spring for only $99 ($149 if I want the interior done).   I don't have the ambition to waste time doing it myself.  Ceramic IMO is the new 'nitrogen air in the tires' fad..

It doesn't have to be big bucks and it's not a fad. In fact your environment is likely the perfect use case for ceramic coating as it should last 2+ years. If I was still in NY I would have definitely gotten it coated (or did it myself), however being in SC I have the luxury of being able to wash and maintain the truck on a regular basis now.

Here is a 1 year follow up video on AvalonKing which is a DIY true ceramic coating. Cost is less than $100 dollars, and other than the initial prep isn't very hard to do at all. This person is in Canada so similar if not worse environment to yours.

El Camino, You couldn't be more wrong about that, maybe actually try a product before you pass judgement, there are several good YouTube videos testing ceramic coatings in real world weather, and clearly, it isn't snake oil.  I will say that there are plenty of cheesy products claiming to be "ceramic technology" that are just marketing hyperbole, but a legit ceramic coating is far superior to any other type of wax or sealant, I have cars that are 3+ years old that still bead like they were waxed yesterday.  Ironically, you're chastising ceramics and then in the same breath recommending Ziebart?  Seriously, is there a more cliche example of a snake oil company out there LoL!  Like what do you think they're giving you for $99?  Maybe Google "truth of dealer paint protection" and realize how bad you're getting ripped off, because Ziebart is probably the exact same over priced garbage  the dealership sells people.

I've had good results with Adam's Graphene coating. Yes, done properly there is a lot of prep work. None of it is too hard just time consuming.

Definitely not snake oil.

*No affiliation with Adam's beyond being a satisfied customer. I've used it on three different vehicles all with great results.

This 1000x mine has been done almost a year and is still like the day I put it on. $100 roughly plus a day of my time to buff and coat truck. I will do that before I spend $99 every year for somebody to slap a high filler content spray wax on my truck.

That's just fine if you can do the work yourself but I cannot and no one around here does ceramic. I would have to travel couple hundred miles to Green Bay to find a place so its not worth it to me.

There are several good ceramic companies out there, like I mentioned, I've had really good results with CarPro UK formula, it's about $60 for a bottle that will do one car with some material left over (I've done 2 small cars with the $60 bottle).   Here is a video comparing a bunch of them, you can see the CarPro UK performs great:

CarPro also makes a really cool product called "CQuartz", it's designed to seal your wheels, but you can put it on grills, etc., and that stuff is freaking amazing.  When I had sports cars that generated a ton of brake dust the CQuartz was like teflon, kept the wheels looking factory new for years.

Meh, isn't everyone on YouTube selling someting? 😉 Take it for what it's worth and it was just an example, there are plenty of reviews out there on it plus some of the other products mentioned (Adams, CarPro, etc...) most are very favorable.

Well time is always the problem. Any mobile detailers in your area that can prep the car even if they don't do ceramic? Then you can do that part when they are done.

No mobile detailers here. Only places are the Ziebart and they don't offer ceramic.  This is a rural area, small towns. Like I said closest large city is Green Bay or Duluth, both about 225 miles distance.  Even if that were possible, I still cannot do the work myself for heath reasons (shoulder Injury).

I know just giving you a hard time haha

That guy is a known scumbag douche nozzle though. Like the worst one for detailing. I can't remember it all but there was some shady ****** that was brought up about how he treats some other people in the community and in his fan base.

It's all good.

I hadn't heard that about him before, only about his sponsored videos and his sponsorship prices.
