305 bfg's on a gmc 2500HD?

Recommended Posts

My friend who is considering buying an '04 gmc 2500HD D/A wants to know if 305 BFG AT's will fit on the stock wheels with out rubbing too much. My friend who has an '04 chevy 2500HD has 285 BFG's and I cranked the T-bars up for him and they rub so very little that I think we could have got away with 305's with minor trimming. What do you guys think? Thanks

Getting someone to mount them on the stock 16x6.5 wheels could be the first problem. It is just too wide of a tire for the narrow rims, especially with the heavy diesel riding on them. I would consider 16x8 wheels or a narrower tire.
