Falls on its face

Recommended Posts

Good morning everyone, I’m new to this site so please bare with me. I have a 2015 Gmc 2500hd Denali with 6.0 gas. It falls on its face when I try to pass or just give it more gas. Rpm goes up but just not performing. I’ve had transmission checked it’s good. Not throwing any codes for lean like a bad injector. Air flow is all good. I’m thinking injectors even though it idles great and typically runs good. I can afford to drop it at mechanic but now it’s personal lol. Any idea and I know it’s not just cut and dry. Thanks so much.

Sounds like a dirty MAF.  check the sensors on on the MAss Air Flow sensor.  They make cleaner just for it.

Along with checking your MAF sensor, check to make sure your air filter is not filthy and clean your throttle body if it needs it too.

Temp check the cats, if the temps are crazy high there might be an exhaust restriction. Like temps over 600-800 degrees. Doing it at night helps too, if they get super hot they will start to glow red.

We are all just guessing at this point, hard to diag stuff over my keyboard.
