Radio/Head Unit overheating

Recommended Posts

Hi I have a 2020 Silverado, and my headunit is what I believe overheating. Does anyone else have this issue? I was just curious if there’s a known issue in GM’s headunits.

When it “overheats”, the screen will flicker/ go off and on, the touch will not work, the audio will go out, and sometimes all of it will stop working. It has also changed stations on its own too.

I posted a video of an instance where this occurred:

Yeah, I want to say it’s overheating because I noticed it happened only when I have the windows down on a hot day like that. When I put the A/C on and windows up it was just fine.

It’s still under warranty so I guess I’ll have to get it taken in.
