21 High Country Mini Build Thread (Revised)

Recommended Posts

I spent the last few nights getting the rest of my parts installed on the new truck. Here is how it is now and so far I am very pleased.

2021 HC 3500 SRW Cherry Red Tintcoat

- 295/65R20 KO2s

- all chrome center caps

- black bow tie

- Z71 all weather mats

- GM bed mat

- Kicker OEM sub

- ARB Twin Air compressor

- Banks Derringer

- Banks iDash

- AFE 5” DPF Back exhaust w/ MBRP tip

- Truxedo X15

- B&W 20K companion hitch

I am happy to answer any questions about my installs and try to save people from tearing their hands up like I did.

Nice build. I have been curious if the B&W companion had enough rise for front box clearance it the bed rails. Definitely looks like it does.

mine is also in the middle of three height positions. It can go higher if need be.

Nice truck!  Of course I'm partial to the color too as it's the same as my 2021 AT4 3500 SRW.

I also run the same 5th wheel hitch from B&W and have been very happy with it.

I have it set on the highest position and the most rearward position.  On my 2021 AT4 3500, I can get almost a full 90* jack knife if I need to (probably 85*, but the trailer wheels start getting very unhappy about it!).  Having it in this position allows my pinbox/frame wings to clear the siderails on my Retrax tonneau cover if I'm backing in and getting close to sideways, as long as I'm on mostly level ground.

Also with this height, I am still able to close my Retrax cover with the hitch installed.

Without a doubt the best color (IMO) on the High Country.

How loud is that ARB compressor in the cab?  Interesting choice that you mounted it there instead of outside the truck.  Do you have air lines going out to the exterior somewhere?

I only use it if I am out of the truck.  I have an ARB airline that I plug in if I need to use it for something.

Cool.  If I looked at the picture right, the floor mat is cut out for the compressor so I assume that it is indeed floor mounted?  Or am I just a moron and its just laying there LOL.
