power fold mirrors automatically

Recommended Posts

I just got rid of my f150… I was able to play with the computer to do so much to it. My new Denali is a whole different ball game. I ordered a special jumper off of boostautoparts.com so that the fox lights will work in automatic and run with the parking lights.  I am trying to find something similar to fold my mirrors in when i lock the doors but to no avail. Only thing I can think of is opening up the door panel and putting a diode on in between the load sides of the exterior door handle button and the mirror fold button. Any other ideas would be welcome.. I dont really want to take off the door panel if I don’t have to. Would prefer to get the wiring down near the BCM module.

Welcome to the site.

Seems like the T1's would have the same function as the K2's:

Auto Mirror Folding If equipped, with the ignition off, press and hold lock button on the RKE transmitter for approximately one second to automatically fold the exterior mirrors. Press and hold unlock button on the RKE transmitter for approximately one second to unfold. See Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation 0 36. This feature is turned on or off through vehicle personalization. See Vehicle Personalization 0 165.

It's an extra step, but could push the fold button on the inside of the door before getting out.

Like changing from using a key to using the button for ignition, the mirror button routine can soon become habit.
