USB power in glove box

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to turn off the USB port in the glove box?  I believe it is the same as the usb for the center console. Under factory settings, both USB port are always on even when the truck is off. I ran into an issue where I have a qi wireless charger plugged into the truck. I just got it and I left it plugged on a Friday. I have not done any mods to my truck or have anything plugged in. Didn’t go anywhere over the weekend. Monday comes around, I tried to start up my truck to go to work and it’s dead. So I jumped the truck and unplugged that wireless charger and it’s been a month and nothing is wrong. I don’t know 100% if that’s the cause of it but I’m pretty sure it is. Anyways, I want to set it to where the usb turns off when I turn off the truck.

dont these trucks and most cars these days have protections against the battery dieing.  as in it will shut things off

That’s what I’m saying. If the USB ports are staying on- the BCM needs reprogrammed, replaced, or something.
