Still Missing my K2

My 2016 LTZ has two cup holders in the center console vs four cupholders in my 2019 LTZ.

I've found cup holders a great place to hold everything but a cup. Everything turns into a mess. So for the most part I don't even use them. Bench seat three hole and it's folded up 95% of the time. Dog lays there  :) Wife uses the one in the door.

First mile I drove the truck I had a Mountain Dew in the holder and going over the curb the shock of the suspensions stiffness tossed it into the seat. Lid popped off and empties the entire cup. I learned the factory Scotch Guard is pretty nice and that the dealer 'interior protection' I declined was a joke. So are they useful?

I have a screw on top thermos type cup that sits right between my legs. Never spills, dog never licks it. Wife doesn't take sips....handy. Same cup holder I had in my 65 Ford. 😉

My ‘21 6.2 10 speed K1 drove better than my ‘18 6.2 8 speed, but maybe because the ‘18 was a better “truck”.  Although ugly, the T1 makes a better daily driver vehicle.  Also feel I was one of the lucky ones that had a great 8 speed, no clunks, no delays going into gear.

There was just something about the K2s, they had a really classic "Chevy Truck Feel", reminded me a lot of the GMT400s and 800s. I really liked the K2 interiors too, best truck interior on the market until the 2019 Ram came out. The cocoa/dune option was beautiful, and the interiors just felt more open and spacious, even if material quality was roughly the same as the T1. T1 interiors are just too dark. Like sitting in a coal bin, even with the lightest color option. That and the design just makes them feel smaller than they are.

Pretty darn accurate here. I do miss my K2 LML but the new L5P has so much more power. I also don't have to worry about a CP4 or headgaskets anymore either.
