Tires - Dry Rot?

Recommended Posts

the oem tires are all garbage, i remember the 20" chinese rims GM put on the truck came with eco tires, those POS would chunk off in pieces on the tread side.  cheaper to sell them all as take offs for $500 and buy new rims and  BFG's for $1200, minus the value of what you can get off craigslist

IMO you got screwed on your tires.
No way I would drive on those.
I had a blow out on the freeway at 85 mph with tires not quite that bad looking and had $7500 worth of damage.
Sorry guys , I'm with Earl on this one. I wouldn't run them much longer. Tires are cheap. Your life ain't.
I spare no expense on rubber. Why would anyone ?

Brief update. (This app doesn’t seem to want to work on Tapatalk anymore)

I finally spoke with Bridgestone who gave me a reference number and told me to go to the nearest Firestone store.

The manager at Firestone said it’s definitely a defect and is going to work out a deal with me luckily.

He didn’t have Duelers so I’m going to go with Firestone Destination A/T2s.

He encouraged me to fight with Bridgestone to cover the full cost but I’m not that type of person. The tires have 20k on them and I never reported the flaw from the start so I’m 100% content with a prorated deal as opposed to buying four brand new tires at full cost.
