Google Assistant not responding while connected via Bluetooth

Title says it all...

 

About two months ago, for some unknown reason, the "pass through" function on my GMC entertainment system, does, indeed, invoke the google assistant, but it is silent and won't talk back.

 

Example: Long Hold call button, get chime, say "text bubba", and, Google asst passes out. Used to say, maybe, Mobile, Home or work?, I would answer, and it went to town.

 

Works great on every other BT device ,such as an external speaker, Jabra Speak console, etc.---even on the phone on its own. Just not in the car over BT.

 

Tried all kinds of things, nothing fixes.

 

Anyone encountered this? LG-G7 ThinQ.

Not sure, have you tried to forget the bluetooth connection and just connect via cable to Android Auto?

Yeah. All works good wired in.

Before, it all worked over Bluetooth as well. I'm guessing it's some Google update that blew it all up.

I just don't like stuff that works, then stops working for no obvious reason...then again, that seems to be the definition of "Google" ...
