Anybody haul a dirt bike with a short box?

Recommended Posts

Considering my order of a standard box at4 is who knows where and they are super rare in dealers I'm considering a short box that's already on a lot somewhere...

Looking for people who haul dirt bikes(1) in their trucks with the gate closed, I'm assuming it fits corner to corner but I'd love to hear from some other people about there experiences with it and any photos would be awesome to!

Thanks Mitch

I haul 2 dirt bikes in my short bed.  With the tail gate down they fit easily with all my gear in the back as well.  If you want to close the tail gate, your limited to one dirt bike at an angle.

It'll depend on the bike. Little bikes, you'll be able to close the gate. Large bikes, one you'll be okay at an angle. More than 1 you'll need the gate down. The short bed is actually wider than it is longer. I've managed to put a quad into the bed of my short bed and was still able to close the tailgate.

Very true!  I didn't realize how wide the new beds were, especially the cavities under the bed rail, until I started loading it up.  I was actually able to put my Valhalla MAPS panels in the area under the bed rails, attach my shovel and axe, and still had room to put the dirt bikes in without the pegs hitting the panels, sides, or fender wells.  I am impressed with the amount of room in the new beds.
