Help!!! DRL flashing with turn signal

Recommended Posts

I go to use my driver side turn signal and the DRL flashes at the same time the turn signal does. Only the driver side and only at night...what could this be? I just replaced the battery in the truck and noticed this right away. Never seen it before happen...

So what you're saying is, it does not switch over to amber and blink?  WOW, that's unique.

Who changed your battery?  Stealership?  Have them fix it.  Isn't there a few relays adjacent to the battery?  Make sure that they are not partially unconnected/loose.

What does your interior indicator(s) do when you use your turn signals?

Does it do that when you lock/unlock with your remote?

How about with your hazards?

Out of curiosity (yeah, I know what happened to the cat), tonight, manually turn our exterior lights OFF, wait a couple seconds/minutes, and turn them back on AUTO.  Try your turn signal again.  Then manually, turn your headlights on, and see what happens when you use your turn signal?

Check the black plug on your BCM (left headlight/DRL/signals are on this one), verify that it is firmly plugged in and that none of the wires are loose.

I've dug through all of the PDFs that I have for these trucks, struggling to find anything to help.

Since the new battery is installed, I'd try disconnecting the neg & positive cables, and then touch them together for a few seconds or more. (Not to the battety!) This should discharge all electrical components. Them connect the positive cable 1st & then the negative & see if this corrects the issue.
