Truck loses all power while driving.

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

New to this. Really came here because I have no clue what to do. I have a 2014 chevy silverado texas edition. Got it 2 months ago from a used dealership. 3 times now the truck has just completely lost all power while driving and it will regain power after 5 or 10 minutes. 1st time while turning into a driveway which left me stranded in an active lane, 2nd time happened turning in a parking lot. And 3rd, parked, noticed I was crooked, went to fire it back up to repark and got nothing. All three times it's like the trucks battery is disconnected. After the 2nd time I took it to the dealership, they ran their own diagnostic, replaced the battery, checked connections etc. Everything looked great. Even took the truck to Chevy and paid for a diagnostic and they couldn't find anything wrong. Now the 3rd time which happened today, in the parking lot. I dont know what to do. No one can seem to figure out a definitive answer or solution. I need help please!!!

Sounds like a ground issue. You need to check the "engine to body" ground wire or add some grounds. You can do a quick trial by using a jumper cable for a good engine to body ground
