Dealer is expecting delivery this Wednesday, 3 Mar.  Must help to be within truck distance and not need rail.

All bets are off.  Sales manager did call 1 Mar and said my truck was "on a truck and on the way".  He expected delivery 3 Mar.  GMC chat claimed then (still claims as of today) " vehicle has been produced, shipped and is currently in transit but does not show its current location or an estimated delivery time".

Dealer just says they "don't have eyes on it".  Starting to sound like an error someplace.  I am barely more than 300 miles from factory.

Hard to actually believe no one knows where it is.  Maybe they should ship FedEx :).

Just talked to my salesman today and he said I am at 3300 and expected build date of 3/15. Should get it sometime in April. Hope there are good incentives. I doubt to 0% financing will be extended another month. About color, there are 2 blues, a darker blue and pacific blue. I agree the darker is like black but hoping the pacific blue is more like an electric blue they had in the past.

Been through this with Fords, Chevys, and Dodge.  The manufacture knows exatly where it is.  Its just their customer notification/update is terrible.   You would think in todays world they would have a system to track for the customer, would cut a lot of angst and save people time.

I will tell you the distance from the plant doesnt seem to matter,  seen guys before live with an hour and wait twice as long as guy that lives 2000 miles away.  Sometimes doesnt make sense, but have to realize,  there is a cue, and ordering a truck for trans is just as hard going one hour than 24.

OK, progress this afternoon after being 'lost' this morning.  Truck made it to the dealer.  I am picking it up in the morning.  Delivery driver told them his truck broke down twice on the way here from Michigan and that is why delivered today and not last Thurs. (Apparently was never going to be here last Wed.)

Still a happy camper.  Pic is one the salesman sent when he let me know it had been offloaded. :)

That will make it 11 wks and 1 day from ordering.  That includes the two weeks waiting for dealer allocation.

Wxman, thank you for walking us through your build from order to delivery, I know nothing is certain but it gives those of us waiting on orders some idea on how things are progressing at the plant, shipping, etc. Congratulations on the beautiful truck, is that the Cayenne Red Tintcoat? I almost pulled the trigger on a Silverado in the Cherry Red Tintcoat but I know how I use my trucks and opted for a lighter color.

As for my situation, I spoke with the salesman again and then the manager. The salesman told me that they received the allocation Thursday and that they aren't able to put the order in the system until they have allocation which I told him didn't sound right. He got the manager on the phone and he clarified that while they can enter them, they as a dealer have opted to wait until they have the allocation, enter the order and usually GM confirms allocation and everything and accepts the order and move to 2000 status within a week or so. Apparently over the last few months they have had multiple orders pulled while waiting for allocation, constraints, etc and just felt it was easier to handle/track by only entering the order once allocation was available. So according to the manager, they got the allocation Thursday, the order was entered Monday because the GM was out and I'm in that place between 1100 and 2000 where allocation is available and its just a matter of GM picking up the order. I will feel a lot better once I have a TPW.

If you have the order number (I think you mentioned earlier that you did), reach out to GMC or Chevy chat tomorrow (seems like the system gets updated on Thursdays) and ask for the current event code.

My order moved to 3000 a week after going to 2000 and had a TPW when it went to 3000. I am planning on checking tomorrow to see if TPW of 3/22 has changed or not.

It is thursday, not sure if its 12am or some other eastern time zone time.  but I get updates around 1-2pm  eastern.  So worst case noon time you should be good.

Current event code is 3100 and still on target for week of 3/22.

Thanks.  So that kind of matches what I had ordered 27 FEB,  was told 3 May for TPW, so about two months between order to production, which places total weight time 10-12 weeks and thats what I was kind of told.

Only difference was my order dropped 27 FEB but was at 3000 on 4 MARCH or least that is when I was updated.  I should be updated today so we will see

I bugged my dealer today, and found out my truck is currently at 3000.  Though they never gave me the potential build date like some of you have been getting...

at 3000 you should have a TPW,  which is tenative.  The dealer should know it.  If anything get the order number and chat with GM on chat on their website

That's exactly what I did lol, thought the agent on the chat said they will have to email me once they get an update, which they said will take 24-48hrs...
