Great news all!  Looks like after waiting just over 11 months for my truck, looking like it will be delivered to the dealer next week, ready for me to pick it up by next Saturday.!!!!

More details to come.

Just got an 1100 code today, we will see what happens had to wait 4 months to put my order in, 22 LT Diesel Red Hot, sport/all star.  Ordered a 21 2500 Diesel LT Midnight last FEB and got it 8 weeks later quick I know. so we will see this time.

Well either way was playing around with things and with my GM discount and the positive equity in the truck going to get a one year newer truck with a few more things and probably 50 bucks less or more for it.  missed out on a few options last year that werent there and frankly I am tired of black,  was nothing on the lots to gauge last year.

Wasnt able to order the CONV 2 package or leather package last year.  GMs info system is complete junk to begin with but hoping its somewhat better and I get the wireless charging and linking this time.  Another thing is I wish you could set the mirrors to close when the motor is turned off.

How do I go about seeing the code status of my order? I'm exactly a month in and my dealer said the order was accepted by GM but there's no VIN yet? Is this normal? Very high-volume dealer.

Only the dealer can get the code status for you.   Tell them you want the event code and then you can follow along below.  If its accepted you should be somewhere in the 2000,  get into 3000 thats when they schedule production.

I ordered a 2022 Sierra 2500 crew cab gasser.  ,  convenience, preferred and x31 packages . Truck was built March 3rd. No updates , gm and the dealer give me the run around. So frustrating . I was told no longer than 4 months . That ship has sailed a month ago .

Same truck I ordered but a gasser.  Deposit made in January, so hopefully my Z71 Sport gets picked up too!

best of luck.  From what I gather, from reading and dealers input it seems there are less issues with LT with crew cabs then non crew cabs and higher trims.  Gassers are in higher demand which also creates a strain.  I think things are moving now it just takes a while

Dealer should be able to give you the code.  You might be able to get it from the chevy webpage/chat.  Just ask for an "advisor".

I read an article that 23' production orders start going in July 18 - anyone know whether there's truth to this or not?

Also read where makeover was supposed ot begin with MY23, but that's been delayed to 2024 so 23's will be - basically 22's - correct me if that was bad info.

So I contacted my dealer today to make an appointment to Order a 3500 LT Regular cab Duramax. Not new to the GM scene by any means. Just decided it’s time for a new diesel to pull my recreational trailers. For grins I googled lead time for Silverado HD orders and was sent to this thread. I now realize what a ****** show this may become. I feel bad for all you guys honestly. So should I even bother ordering the truck? I find myself asking if it will actually come? Regular cab long bed LT is a dinosaur these days so I won’t get one if I don’t actually order it the way I want it. Give it to me straight? Waste of time or go for it and order it?

Talked with my dealer yesterday afternoon on my 22 order placed January 22.  Chevy has closed orders on 2022 HD trucks.  They will begin taking orders on 23's the first week of July.  Soooo, I will be going through the process of ordering a 23 and starting this enjoyable process again.  That is assuming there isnt a yuge price increase on the 23's.  They are supposed to have access to 23 pricing in the next week or two and we will see what if any impact there is regarding increases.  I know per the website, my current build would be $2500 more, Im hoping that is all that rolls to the 23 MY.  Keep in mind this is all info from my dealer, who knows how accurate this information is.  It doesnt appear that they can get a straight answer from Chevy Corpo either.
