This advice worked for me.

Dealer called mid December and said he could place the order if I could live without the marker lamps option.  I said... "Yes, please order without Marker Lamps".

Glad I did, because now the bed side box option isn't available, and that would have me postponing the order indefinitely, and probably making a completely different decision.

What trim level is the truck?

I have a TPW of 2/7/22 😀

Getting excited now. Hope it doesn't go into the Flint black hole.

Timeline:

9/9/21 - Order placed at dealership - Silverado 3500HD Duramax LT DRW Northsky Blue Metallic
9/28/21 - Order modified - went from LT to LTZ
11/22/21 - 1100 Preliminary order accepted
12/8/21 - 3000  ORDER ACCEPTED BY PRODUCTION CONTROL
1/28/22 - 3300  ORDER SELECTED, SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION - TPW 02/07/22

8/10/21 - Order placed - Sierra 3500 Denali diesel SRW

1/31/22 - Dealership informed the truck just got built

Interested to know if it comes with heated/cooled seats.

I've seen some on the inventory search that appear to have them. i.e. no credit for the missing features.

Just an update on status " STILL WAITING "  Truck ordered March of 2021 3500 HD Midnight Edition LT. Built at Flint truck and bus plant on 11/10/2021 as complete build not waiting on any parts.  Still stuck in transit to get to my dealer 20 Miles North of the Plant as of 2/15/2022.  Almost a year since I ordered it and still no truck in transit for over 6 weeks.  Not sure what the hold up is but this is getting ridiculous.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I am in almost the same boat.  I ordered the "Sports Edition" version.  Dealer said "waiting on Missing Parts".  Yea..right.  Truck was ordered beginning of June last year, built week of 11/15 has been sitting at Flint ever since with no info of an ETA.

Did yours get built prior to the November 15th cutoff for heated seats. Mine being built on November 10th just made it before they announced they would no longer be installing them.

I was told the week of 11/15.  I do not have the exact day it was built.  I dont think my dealer knows either?  Fed up.  Beyond frustrated.  I was told this past Monday by the dealer that the truck is on the trailer, getting ready to leave Flint...however, somehow, it still sits there in the parking lot.  I wonder what damage the mice and other rodents have done to it.  I can only imagine how flat-spotted the tires are.  I currently drive an old F150 five speed XL 2wd.  We got over 72 inches of snow in the past 4 weeks...yea...4wd and something a little newer would be nice.

Yeah I sold my 2008 Chevy  4x4 with only 89,000 miles on it 7 weeks after I placed the order for my new one because the dealer had told me I would have the new one in 8-12 weeks. I had to buy another truck in the interim to pull my camper as I wait so I am now stuck driving a 1994 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd with 200,000 miles on it that I am upside down in due to the crazy used car market.  Not only the mice and flat spots on the tires I am upset I am spending the extra for a special edition truck that is sitting outside in the Michigan Winter weather. My guess is the brakes and axles are all rusted at this point not going to be happy if it is when the truck arrives. Also will not be happy if the Mud terrain tires are not on it as they are supposed to be as GM has been substituting all terrain tires that are more along the lines of highway tread. 18 inch wheel package is supposed to be equipped with Mud Terrains but my window sticker that is on the GM inventory page reads all terrains.

Dried water stains are pain to removed not to mention all the other elements from just sitting there.  Kinda in the same boat as you about selling a previous truck.  '15 Sierra A/T.  4-8 weeks and you will be sitting in your new truck.  Glad I did not put any money down.  Dealer said no mark up...I have it in writing.  We shall see.  I worry that someone will see the truck and offer $10K or more to buy it from under me.  I would go ballistic.

Sucks about the tires.  Maybe you would get a discount?  I picked the 20" A/T for mine.  What would really suck is if the rear window has leaked or is leaking...and all of that is just sitting inside.  Good luck getting that smell out.  Regardless, if and when the truck is delivered, I will be going over it very thoroughly.

Same here but I did put a down payment on the order. I get the GM family discount and the price is locked in. The whole situation is frustrating knowing I am spending all that money and it just sits there rotting and GM can't tell me anything other than its in transit you just need to wait a little longer. FFS I have been waiting a year.  I am going to be looking at this thing with a fine tooth comb for any wiring being chewed mouse nests and everything
