Door lock cylinder replacement

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, my searches turned up nothing.

Some oxygen thief with a deathwish tried to break into my 2018 Denali.  Even if they got in, it has a Viper alarm so they would have gotten nothing, but now I have to replace the handle lock cover and the lock cylinder.  I’ve seen vids on how to replace the handle cover but I can’t find anything on replacing the lock cylinder.  Does that have to be done from inside the door (e.g remove the inside door panel)?  Any help or links to how to’s would be appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Thanks guys,

I'm guessing here, but I would think it has to be done from the inside door panel. Check out this video. This shows the cyclinder in the plastic holder.
