Backup camera replacement

Recommended Posts

On mine i have the 6 pin connector

Red 12v +

Yellow video + (inside of rca)

White reverse +

Brown shield

Black (middle) rca - (rca outside )

Black ground

To make camera stay on cut white wire going to camera and splice it to the red. Out of connector tape off white wire. On my pioneer radio this allows me to see camera while not in reverse

I replaced the factory camera with a better one using a spare molex connector.

Wired the new camera to 12v and ground. Then took the yellow and spliced it to the rca i made. Other end of rca i connected to brown and black that would be rca-.

I just ordered a camera on ebay that is 800tvl.

1st one is stock, no lines cause my radio doesn't supply it

2nd 1 is new camera with built in lines.

3rd pic is while driving.

Sorry for the glare. 20201227_102707.jpg20210107_083606.jpg20210107_085315.jpg
