2019 RST Park/Neutral Safety

Recommended Posts

I am trying to find the positive signal wire coming off the park/neutral safety switch and cannot seem to find info on it anywhere.  This would be the same signal wire that tells the BCM when the truck is out of park so the DRLs come on for example.  I need to pull 12+V power off that signal wire to trigger a siren control module to shut off white flashing lights. I utilize my 2019 RST as a response vehicle with my local fire department, and when I ****** to park, I want the 12V signal to trip a relay within my siren/lighting control unit that will shut off the white lights.

Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately these are all low volt and data signals. You won't find a 12v signal on anything related to gear position on these newer trucks. You might try to mount some kind of momentary switch/paddle switch near the shift cable that will mechanically trigger the switch when in park, then wire the relay accordingly. Just a suggestion. With everything being controlled by modules and data bus, I wouldn't attempt to power tap anything at all.
