Love my truck but, safety features?

I’m sure this has been covered but I’m curious if there’s an aftermarket solution I’m missing.  I LOVE my 2020 elevation, but with how bad the back up cam is at night, I’m finding myself wondering how a 56k truck doesn't have backup sensors?  On my old f150 they made an aftermarket part you could add to the hitch to essentially do it after the fact.  Any change GM has the same and I can’t find it?  If the camera was better, I’d be a little happier, but no blind spot, no backup, etc is kinda weird to me for how much trucks cost these days.  May just be wishful thinking though...thanks GM fam!

It's an option.  I know on the Chevys, it's a very inexpensive one but my 60k (msrp) LT Trailboss doesn't have them either.  There were two on the lot.  One with a sunroof and one with the nanny sensors.  I chose the sunroof

In Canada, it's $1100 for front & rear park assist, cross traffic, and blind spot alert.  I think that's pretty reasonable.  If you want it, pay for it.  Simple as that.

Personally, we're onto the 5th and 6th cross traffic alert sensors in my wife's Buick, so I'll pass on the additional electronics.

One of the issues with the backup camera at night is that the factory backup lights are really not adequate to light up the area behind the truck for the purposes of the camera. I've noticed a high iso look, very grainy, and also the camera seems to shift to a very low fps in night conditions. One thing that should help with this that can be added aftermarket is some additional backup lighting.

My SLT also has a very clear back up at night in very dark conditions.  Believe OP's truck has LED bulbs also?? Either way back up camera on mine is by far the best iv ever had. Much better than our BMW x5

Both my 2016 and 2019 LTZs have front and rear parking sensors.  The 2019 also has blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.  I paid under $37k out the door for the 2016 and under $49k out the door for the 2019.  Both were brand new, about 8 miles on the odo and no trade in on either one.

For those with issues with the image being grainy etc, I picked these up on the CHEAP and they are BRIGHT

Edit:

I would not use these on an "always on" light like a plate bulb.  Not sure how well that heat sink is, but for the 10 seconds or so it is used for backing up?  Zero issues on two trucks

Ah I see.   Is it a different reverse light assembly or is it just a GM part led bulb for the SLT, AT4 and Denali?

The whole housing is different. LED reverse light is built in.

What really helped on my truck was doing the cargo light/tailgate light on while in reverse mod. Very simple to do. Here is the link on this site. I used the diodes but soldered wire to the diodes and used taps on the trucks wiring for a better connection than shown in the thread. I was surprised at how much it really helps to see with the camera at night.
