I have a diamondback on my sierra. I love it. I had one on my tacoma as well the flip back function is awesome. Install took a minute. But it wasnt too bad.

I was so very close to going with the diamondback ended up going the route of a tri fold. I guess worst case if I dont like it I can always go to the diamondback way. I was ready to go then looked at reviews on their own page. I was soured by having to go with all or none of the tie downs on the HD, I only wanted 4 or 8 not all 12, then seeing complaints of them being crooked, of panels being crooked and some other issues. For $2050.00 there should be no issues. Just soured me along with the lack of working with minor customization.

The used 08 Silverado I purchased in 2019 came with a retractable power retrax.  It had been installed on the previous owners previous truck, an 04 Silverado I believe.. so it saw a lot of use (I got the truck with 180,000 miles on it) and it still worked but was wearing out fast when i decided to take it off.  It was a very nice feature but I was concerned with water penetration given it's age if I were to leave my tools in there, also I thought I might want to get me a bed toolbox.

I have the BakFlip MX4 and it has been great.  If I were to do it over I would look at the BakFlip Revolver X4.  I like the clean look of it.  The others ones you mentioned don't seem practical to me for regular use.

I've also been making myself nuts trying to find one stand-out cover but crazy how many are out there. It's pretty clear there are a lot that "work" just fine with some that seem to be more popular.  I'm leaning toward the BAK Revolver X4 as well. Mainly because it shows no seams and I found a sample section at my local 4Wheel Parts store and it's sturdy as heck.

I've had a Bakflip RevolverX4, Bakflip X4 Tri-Fold and a diamond back cover.

My favorite by far is the Bakflip Revolver. When its down is flush with the top of the bed. Its super clean look.

Also I tow a 5th wheel, I can roll it up, its still out of the way. I can make sharp turns it doesn't get in the way and I can still see out the back window.

Now the Diamond back cover. Nothing is better if you want to carry an atv or a load on top of your cover.

I've hauled a polaris ranger thousands of kilometers (yes I'm Canadian) on top of the DB Cover. No problems.

Unless you need something out of the box and don't want to take the atv off... then I hope your flexible.

Unless of course you're considering a sled deck, but that's a different category in my opinion.

I'm just not a fan of the trifold covers. when they're up they block the back window and are just more cumbersome to use.

My vote. Bakflip Revolver X4.

Had a Bakflip on a 2006 Chevy 1500. Currently have a Diamondback...love it. Three worst things about the bakflip were: leaked like a sieve, covered the back window when opened, and, because it sits below the top of the bedrail there are many things that are too tall to fit in the truck bed...especially large fish coolers.

Shopping for a tonneau cover for my 2021 RST4x4 crew. zoomed in on 2 now, Baxflip MX4  4panel,  and Bax X4S roll up.

My question is since I have the short bed Crew cab , 5'8" bed will the cover support my Sportsman 120 Kayak, along with a hitch mount "T"  bracket so the back of my 12' kayak can rest on the "T" bracket from the hitch and front of Kayak sits on top of the Connoea cover? Kayak total weight approx 130 pounds loaded, 12ft long. And will the bottom of Kayak scratch and mar up the tonneau cover?
