2019 Silverado LD - Information Outcast

Recommended Posts

I think the only difference is yours says LD on the tailgate.

That's it. Everything is the same as 2018. It's all leftover(more or less) parts isn't it Cam?

It's the same thing as the 2007 Silverado Classics, they just made two different trucks for the 2007 model year.

The 2018's just continued production into the 2019 model year. If you ask me it's because they still needed to keep trucks in production and the new body style wasn't fully on board yet for all cabs/configurations.

I think it was done simply as a reminder that Chevy trucks weren't always as ugly as the current generation.

It will be one of the rarest of Silverado's, and I actually did buy it after the 2020's were out and hated the new look.

I worked at a GM Pickup Assembly Plant for 40 years and I can assure you that buying at the end of a model run is less troublesome than  buying right after a major product change.

Also I want everybody to know that the LD stands for Legacy Double Cab and not Light Duty.  Just say'n.

I just call it legacy design or last design.

I see plenty of them around, lots of company trucks in various cabs.

I thought they were all the same .LT equipped double cab 5.3 6spd. 4x4 Pretty much all had the same options.Like an all star with a $45,000ish sticker.

I could be wrong though I was once before.[emoji24]

Merry Christmas Cam how you digging this blizzard [emoji3063]?

It's snowing alright, I'm staying inside and hoping I don't have to work tomorrow.

Yep.  2019 LD are Double cab only, 5.3 only, 2wd or 4wd, WT, Custom, 1LT and 2LT Z71 for trim levels.

Options were kept minimal too.  Packages available were the WT Convenience, Texas Edition, All Star Edition, Redline Edition, Midnight Edition and Z71 Sport.

I have a 2LT with the Z71 Sport and All Star.  Z71 Sport is cool as its the Midnight Edition in terms of the package as a whole, except you could do it on all the colors including black.  So you got the black 5 spoke 18"s, Duratracs, the "Z71" on the doors, and park assist but they also then added 4 inch black steps.

They also had some smoking good lease deals on them too.  Employee pricing on a 2LT with Z71 Sport and Allstar was about $48-49k, discount and the rebates took them to $39-40k.  With just Allstar it was even lower in the 36-38k range discounted.

Order guide is still up too for those interested to see what the options were:  Model Information - Online Ordering Guide (gmfleetorderguide.com)
