Pics of my wrecked truck

Recommended Posts

As a new user I felt I'd break the ice by sharing with everyone the evil gift of destruction that was bestowed upon me this past week end.

I was following my parents to a car show/parade on the expressway in Flint MI in the far right lane when some teenage girl (who was clearly hauling a**) lost control of her car, clipped my rear fender by my bumber and pointed me directly at the cement median wall on the far left. I hit the wall head on doing somewhere between 50 and 60 mph. All I got from the accident was some bruises and a bloody nose (from the air bag that I made sweet love to).

The worst part of the whole thing was that if you didn't notice above, my parents were driving in front of me and watched the whole thing happen in the reaerview mirror.

Without further delay, I present to you:My Silverado

Enjoy

The worst part is Michigan is a "no-fault" state, so my insurance pays for it. It'll be all payed off, I just really hate filing claims with the way that insurance companies have been the last couple years. All I can get from her insurance is $500. The good part is that my insurance company has been very swift with the claim, they inspected and totaled it yesterday and I should have my settlement tomorrow

I'm going to get a Silver Birch Silverado with the Duramax and Allison in my next one. I already have my dealer working on it. I'll post pics of the new one when I get it.

I too have experienced the Jiffy Pop Phenomenon, twice as a matter of fact...1st was my 2nd week on the job with my training officer driving...ended up being a 10 car accident after we finally stopped in the middle of 6 new Subarus on a dealer's lot(teenage girl had pulled out in front of us).

#2 was a mid 20's female who pulled in front of me while I had the flashing yellow and she the flashing red...30-35 into the side door of a civic or cavalier. That time I was driving.

I will say one thing, those pre-98 Crown Vics did take a good hit and I walked away from both. Some slight burns on my elbows after #1 from the bag, just choked on the smoke from Jiffy Pop while trying to use the radio to call out #2.

Glad you're ok.
