High idle

Recommended Posts

Me again, promise this will be it for the day.

I have the High Idle tic'ed marked under the settings menus in the radio. But how does one initiate it? Would be nice for boosting trucks and tractors in the winter, that are not plugged in.

Dealer isn't to fond of me installing tee fittings into the coolant lines to tee into my dozer, to circulate warm coolant from the sierra, pre heating the old girl in the morning, until the warranty is up. I use hydraulic lines and quick couplers on my old ride to accommodate this idea. Much better setting in a heated cab for 15-30 minutes, while equipment gets pre heated.

I've used the ole green anti freeze in a 90, 93, 95, 97, 02, 08, 12, 15 and soon in a 21. I've only had 1 intake gasket failure on the 95. Every one is still running down the road by me or my family.. The 93 is on its second engine and just now putting a gm crate engine in the 90.

Yup, they are farm trucks. Used, not abused.
