Uncomfortable drivers seat

Recommended Posts

I think the higher the trim, the worse the seats are. I have gone from a '21 High Country (full leather) to a '22 LTZ (partial leather) to a '24 LT (cloth), and the seats have gotten more comfortable each time.

I also sat in a friends '21 1500 AT4 and his seats were rock hard, so it's not a Chevy vs GMC thing either.

owned LT, RST and now High Country....2500s and 1500s from 2019 to 2023 and they are all the same....year or trim doesnt matter, its the same seat and yes they are very firm....I use a seat cushion partly for this and mostly cuz I am filthy from work some days

great trucks but the seats need more padding.....denali ultimate might have different seats not sure

I really like the seats in my 2021 SLT with the leather bucket seats option. I have done quite a few 6 hour drives in them and I get out afterwards feeling better than I would expect.

Went cross country towing the camper in my seats when new (500ish miles).  Ran ventilation on high the whole way.  Didn't have much problem with them being too firm, but they are firm as heck.  I'm 6'5" 255 and they work OK for me.  My 5' 100 lb wife OTOH, she sits on one of those gel butt pads.

Wife has a Mercedes EQE. Wish I could transplant those seats into my HD.  About to go cross-country again...

You're not kidding, I thought it was me. These seats are making me have sciatic pain. I drive easily 5 hours a day and as of now thinking of putting new memory foam. If you have found a solution, please post it.

I am 64 and these seats suck for comfort. I had a 2002 Silverado 2500hd LT diesel full leather interior and the seats were awesome but the truck rode like crap now I have a 2020 Sierra 3500 hd dually which rides great but the seats suck

I went from a 2017 regular cab LT to a 2024 crew cab w/ the LT trim. Not sure if it's more adjustment on the seat back or the seat construction, but the latter feels more comfortable. I picked it up for a dealer trade & that drive was over 6 hours & 400 miles long. I was quite happy w/ how the seat felt.

A few weeks later I drove from Ontario to New Hampshire. Around 10 hours & almost 500 miles.

I'm 63 & 6' 2" tall. It has been a few trucks (this is #8) since I felt comfortable w/ the mid level trim seats.

No issue with our Denali seats. VERY comfortable. Slightly better than our 2018 F-150 Lariat but those seats were very good too.

My theory, if you want good seats, buy the higher level trims.
