Will 2010 GMC wheels fit my new 2020 Sierra?

Lots of discussion about older wheels on newer trucks here:

It you truck is a 2500/3500 (yes, I know this is posted in the 1500 section) then the answer is that 2010 wheels do not fit 2011 and newer.

Hi, I have a 2020 Sierra with 20” wheels I’m looking to use 17” wheel for the winter. Would a set 17’s from 2010 fit my new truck?

Possible, but Not likely. The newer trucks have a new shape in the brake caliper. Thus the spoke portion of the wheel has to be contoured in such a way as to clear the caliper. Only way to know for sure is to mount one and spin by hand to see if it clears

Needed a 1/4" spacer to get 17s from a 2006 Yukon Denali to fit. Contour of the spokes and rim front to back make it nearly impossible to tell. Can tell you the calipers are wider and that ET better leave 2.75" of caliper clearance or it will hit the front of the rim. Also a 8" or 8.5" wide 17" rim is a better bet. The 7.5" wide needs to be test fit.

Depends on the offset. I just picked up a set of 20” rims with winter tires from a guy that had them on his 2012 Silverado. He was unsure of the offset and said give him a shout if they do t fit. Tossed them on today and they barely fit. Maybe 5mm or so of clearance from the front caliper.
