I have the 3.0 in the elevation, so not lifted, and would do it again, fuel economy is amazing, truck hardly shifts on the highway holds gears up hills, no hunting, no high revs on the hills, so quiet. Well worth it

Thanks. Just curious what the 2” lift and tires will do to the fuel economy vs a stock 1500 with the 3.0.

I bought a 2020 AT4 with the 6.2L.  I have never owned or driven a diesel truck and have no knowledge of them. That is the main reason I chose the 6.2L. I bought the AT4 to replace my 2015 sierra 5.3L which was used for minor cargo hauling and house remodeling. I only need to tow a small travel trailer or a couple of jet ski's. The 6.2L motor fits exactly my needs and exceeds them.

Planned on getting the 6.2l just for the fun factor in the Chevy RST. Heard about the 3.0l and have a buddy that is one of the engineers that builds it over in Flint and asked him about it. Had a chance to drive one in the Chevy RST and had to have it. Kinda fell into the AT4 by accident and wasn't even on my radar while dealing on a RST. Really like this combo and happy that I did.

No matter what version you get the 3.0l with the 10sp is a really a smooth operator, great on fuel 26-29mpg highway driving 70-80mph, tows well and just a great combo for what I need.

Man, your truck is so clean looking. I’m glad you’re still enjoying it.

lol thanks!

Live in  Michigan so its changing pretty quickly and going into the snow salt season, today was bad enough with the rain and farmers muddying up the roads! Not a daily driver so I have a chance once in a while to keep it clean.

I was driving in slush and salt covered roads up here in Baraga and Marquette counties yesterday am.   Friend bought a 2020 3.0L is having some issues with it and the dealer is clueless he says.  Been back for the same thing 2 weeks in a row and tired of driving the Buick Encore (Korean made) loaner.

Do you recall what his issues were with his truck?

I waited for two years for the 3.0 to become available.  I absolutely love my AT4.  The 3.0 does everything I need and more.  I can get  25+ miles per gallon in normal driving and it I can tow a trailer with tractor that comes in at about 6000 pounds like it’s not even there.  Is it quick like a 6.2?  No.  Does the feel of 480 pd ft of torque at 1500 rpm push you back in the seat?  Heck yes.  It’s also quiet, but still let’s you know it’s an oil burner.
