Make sure you have camber lockout tabs. They come on the truck factory. I chewed up a set of Cooper at3 and kept getting alignments and had a clunk because the alignment shops don’t put new ones in. I installed the dirt king lock out plates 15,000 miles ago no more alignment issues, odd tire wear, or clunks. You can also buy the Gm ones for the correct camber off of Amazon.

They can be different colors. My original were light gray. The color I believe depends on the camber angle. Your truck probably had an alignment done before you bought it.

I'd say you're probably right. I know it's had at least two since I have had it. I changed the upper control arms because I thought they were bad (Turns out the upper control arms were loose and moving in the mounts.) and later put new tires on. The second alignment was done at the dealer where I bought the truck.

I have wondered how it keeps it's alignment when I was looking at those cams. I put the upper control arms in and I couldn't see how the setting would stay. It's not like in an old car where you tightened down on shims and everything stayed put for the most part.

I always thought those were only put on at the factory and usually pried out after a camber caster alignment.  Those have been of my 2006 GMC yukon for quite some time, at least the last 75,000 miles, and I've never had a problem.  I also do quite a few trail runs and off roading adventures.  I just had one removed off my 2018 4wd Sierra.  Do you have a link to the oem GM style ones?
