Snow Plow/Camper Package Lighting

Recommended Posts

Just brought home a 2020!

Random question...where are these "power feeds" that come with the snow plow and camper prep package?  Would love to tap into them rather than running new wire for accessories.  Let me know!

This is the official GM description: "Power feed to accommodate a backup and roof emergency light"

The roof beacon wire is above the head liner on the drivers side, it comes up the drivers side A pillar ...

Camper Harness behind the back seat (?)

People on here know the specifics +-

Not sure why you got no factual answers ...

VYU plow prep/camper prep is 95% just for the plow portion of it.  If the truck does not have UY2 camper prep or Z6A goose/5th wheel package, you won't have wiring behind the bumper for a 5th wheel/gooseneck trailer.  VYU does get the higher front axle weight rating which is used for both plow and camper usage, hence its naming plow prep/camper prep.

VYU gets you roof wiring access for lighting.  Here are the instructions on how to access the wiring:  https://www.gmupfitter.com/files/media/photo/1329/UI Bulletin_157.pdf
