Spark Plugs & Wires?

Recommended Posts

Since everybody seems to be changing spark plugs, I think I might as well do the same. Im starting to feel left out.........Are the Champion Copper plugs that much better than the Platinum? Is that the plug of choice? Also, since I have to pull the wires I might as well upgrade those as well, anybody done this and maybe have some recommendations?

Thanks again.......

I went with NGK TR55 plugs at about 80K miles, from www.thunderracing.com @ $2.00 each

Gapped at .055

You shouldn't need to replace the wires. I did for the hell of it and went with Taylors (red) from the same site above

Don't mind the rusty manifold...

I went with the Champion Copper "Truck" plug and MGD 8.5mm wires. The wires could have been a little longer and plugs are fine. I expect to change them again this spring after about 20,000 miles on them. I figure if I'm going to go to the hassle of checking them I may as well change em.
