Question
Jeremyl
Hey, I am going crazy with this problem on my 2004 Suburban 2500.. As you may know this generation has two tanks, a main tank and a balance tank. I was told at first it was a cluster, so I had that rebuilt. Then it was the sender, so I replaced the main. Then possibly the balance pump and sender, nope that didn't fix it ether. After installing the new balance pump the gauge did come back for a day, but not because of the new pump, but because I had the battery disconnected. I didn't notice this until a few days later when the gauge broke again. So as I researched I found a random post online saying to disconnect the battery to reset a bad reading in the ECU. I tried it and the gauge came back!
But the issue comes back almost every other day and disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it is getting old. Any help you can provide would be appreciated
Thank you!
